This was a cute story. It’s short, but there’s a lot packed into those few pages. A story about a boy who literally sees the world differently from everyone else, it’s a great reminder to seek to understand others.
Characters: Ethan is so sweet, and so very hard on himself. I just wanted to give him a hug. He’s well-developed and undergoes great character growth. It was nice hanging out with him for a little while!
Content: Ethan is bullied at school. Characters call each other names.
Writing: This is a novellette, but the pacing is great, never feeling rushed or like it’s taking too long. The author does a good job of taking us through a black-and-white-and-green world, with great visual descriptions.
Summary: This is a good read for both kids and adults, coming with needed lessons and gentle reminders to be kind to all. I recommend this to readers aged 10+.
