FTC Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to leave a positive review. All thoughts and opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.

I'm not familiar with the original "Thumbelina" fairytale, but this book has definitely piqued my interest in it. I quickly fell in love with this sweet story about little princess Miette and her loyal bodyguard.

Characters: Miette was a great character. Her insecurities are presented in a realistic way, and I enjoyed getting to know her.

Gavin was also good. He's stoic but with a soft heart--though not one of those overly sweet guys who seem a little unrealistic. He felt like a real person, which I appreciated.

Content: This one's squeaky clean. Two characters hold hands, but that's about it.

Writing: The story is well-written, with touching themes and a plot that kept me invested. There aren't any major plot twists or dramatic reveals, but that was honestly a nice break from the stories I usually read. I was surprised at the depth of the themes, coming from such a short novella. Quite well done!

Summary: This is a great story for an afternoon of light reading, coming with everything you'd expect from a Christian non-magical fantasy: clean romance, good themes, and just the right dash of adventure. I would recommend this to readers aged 12+.
